Malaysia: 30,000 People Evacuated After Record Flooding

On December 19, over 30,000 people were evacuated in Malaysia after the country witnessed the worst flooding in years. This tropical Southeast Asian country often witnesses stormy monsoon seasons towards the end of the year. Heavy downpour since December 17 caused rivers to overflow. Many urban areas have been submerged and major roads cut-off. Thousands of motorists have been left stranded.
