जब कैंसर के टिश्यूज हृदय की कोशिकाओं में पहुंच जाती हैं तो इस स्थिति को हार्ट कैंसर (Heart Cancer) कहा जाता है। दिल में होने वाला कैंसर या हार्ट कैंसर एक दुर्लभ बीमारी है जो बहुत ही कम लोगों में देखी जाती है। दिल की कोशिकाओं में ट्यूमर बनने के कारण इसकी शुरुआत होती है और फिर ये पूरी कोशिकाओं को अपनी चपेट में ले सकते हैं। आमतौर पर फेफड़ों का कैंसर दिल तक फैल सकता है और इसकी वजह से भी दिल में कैंसर हो सकता है। फैलने वाले कैंसर को मेटास्टेटिक कैंसर कहा जाता है। कई बार लोगों को दिल में ट्यूमर की समस्या हो जाती है हालांकि हर मामले में ट्यूमर की वजह से कैंसर नहीं होता है लेकिन जब दिल में हार्ड ट्यूमर हो जाता है तो इसकी वजह से दिल में कैंसर होने का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। हार्ट कैंसर को प्राइमरी कार्डिएक कैंसर भी कहा जाता है। प्राइमरी कार्डियक कैंसर या हार्ट कैंसर अत्यंत दुर्लभ बीमारी है जो कई कारणों से हो सकती है। कुछ लोगों को यह समस्या हृदय में ट्यूमर के बनने से हो सकती है वहीं कुछ लोगों को दिल के कैंसर की समस्या किसी दूसरे अंग से कैंसर के फैलने पर होती है। हृदय में शुरू होने वाला कैंसर अक्सर सार्कोमा होता है, यह एक प्रकार का कैंसर है जो शरीर के कोमल ऊतकों में होता है। हार्ट के पास किसी अंग में कैंसर होने पर रक्तप्रवाह के जरिए यह हृदय तक पहुंच सकता है। इसमें फेफड़े का कैंसर, स्तन कैंसर, अन्नप्रणाली का कैंसर, किडनी का कैंसर, ल्यूकेमिया, लिम्फोमा और मेलेनोमा शामिल होते हैं।
