Public events in the ACT to be plastic-free as govt tries to reduce landfill waste

All public events in Canberra will now be plastic-free. It's part of an effort to reduce the amount of waste going into landfill and comes as the ACT government considers the next phase of its ban on single-use plastics, which comes into effect mid-next year.
