August awareness - Calls for caution on the coasts during Kent's deadliest month
- 2 years ago
August is the most dangerous month of the year for deaths on Kent's coastlines.
More than 100 adults died across the UKs coasts and waters last year and coastguards are now making sure you know who to contact when there's a seaside emergency.
It comes after two people had to be rescued this morning when a 2,000-ton cargo vessel collided with a yacht near Dungeness.
