A new proposal to reduce car emissions has been branded ridiculous by a Kent motoring expert.

The suggestion from Conservative Think Tank Bright Blue would see you earn money by recording drivers who leave their engines running.

It is currently illegal to idle your car in traffic and under the proposal if you reported someone doing it, you would receive 25% of their fine.
