Kent students march in solidarity with Nigeria after protests turn violent
  • 2 years ago
Nigerian students from the University of Kent say they fear for their families and friends after reports of police brutality in their home country.

Hundreds gathered on the Canterbury campus to voice their support for protests against SARS - a now disbanded police unit known as the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

Officials have denied that anyone has died, but Amnesty International say they have credible reports of multiple deaths during the demonstrations.
