Thick layer of smog shrouds Delhi after Diwali celebration
  • 2 years ago
The national capital witnessed thick layer of smog on November 5. The Krishna Menon Lane and Rail Bhawan got covered in thick layer of smog leading to low visibility. The air quality in the national capital on Diwali deteriorated from the upper end of the ‘very poor’ category to its lower end, almost touching the ‘severe’ category. Despite the Delhi government's ban on firecrackers, several people were seen bursting crackers, contributing to the degradation of the air quality, amid increased contribution from farm fires.
