'Stunning footage from Kilauea Volcano's renewed eruption '

'Spellbinding footage offers a close look at an active volcano spewing lava and lighting up the scene during a dark night.

The video filmed by Jeff Rogers shows the explosive activity emanating from a crater of Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano.

"Off of Devastation Trail, we saw the renewed eruption of Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano," the filmer wrote. "After a 2-hour drive to the far side of the island, our group hiked at night with the help of a nearly full moon. The lava erupted in sporadic jolts, painting the walls of a newly formed volcanic cinder cone."

He added: "The fresh lava emerges at 2000 degrees F and barely cools as it pours down into Halemau’mau crater, adding to the lava lake that bubbles and swirls as it continues to grow."
