We Don't Count Number Of Dead, Govt Will Give Figures: IAF Chief On Balakot Airstrike

Addressing mediapersons for the first time after the Indian Air Force (IAF) stroke at terror launch pads in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa said, when the IAF plans to hit the target, they hit the target, otherwise why would Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan have responded, if we dropped bombs in the jungles why would he respond. Speaking on the number of casualties during the attack, Dhanoa said, “The air force doesn’t calculate human casualties we count how many targets we have hit or not hit. The government will make the statement about casualties. The bomb assessment that has been done calculates the number of target you’ve hit or not able to hit. Speaking on whether Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman will fly again or not depends on his medical fitness. “That's why post ejection, he has undergone medical check. Whatever treatment required, will be given. Once we get his medical fitness, he will get into fighter cockpit,” added Dhanoa.
