Delhi Power Minister warns of coal shortage in power plants

Amid the possibility of a power blackout in the national capital, Delhi Power Minister Satyendar Jain on October 11 stated that there is a coal shortage in most of the power plants and stock is left for only 2-3 days. “There is a coal shortage in most of the power plants. The stock is left for only 2-3 days. NTPC capped the production capacity of its plants to 55%. Earlier we used to get 4000 megawatts of electricity but now we are not getting even half of that,” said the Delhi Minister.
