Machakos IEBC Coordinator Decries Low Numbers Of New Registrations

Machakos County IEBC Co Ordinator Joyce Wamalwa Has Expressed Disappointment Over Poor Turn Out Of Those Coming To Register As Voters. Wamalwa Says All Indications Show That The Projected Figure Of Five Thousand People Per Day Was No Where Near To Be Reached. In Less Than Twenty-Five Days Left For The Exercise To End The Co Ordinator Lamented That, The Worrying Trend Was Knocking The Door Day After Day With The Numbers Recorded Every Day Leaving A Lot To Be Desired. Elsewhere, Mwala MP, Vincent Musyoka, Most Of The Youth In The Area Who Were Willing To Register As Voters Were Lacking National Identity Cards. He Appealed To Departments Charged With Issuance Of National Identity Cards To Up Their Game And Enable Those Without The Documents Have Them To Be Able To Register As Voters.
