Priyanka Gandhi Targets PM Modi Over Farmer Protests, AISA Stages Protest Outside Amit Shah's Residence

On October 10, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress leader, targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the farmer deaths in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. Gandhi said that no senior leader of the party, including PM Modi, had visited the area. Priyanka Gandhi said that victims' families \"want justice, not money.” Farmers and opposition parties have been demanding the sacking or resignation of junior home minister Ajay Mishra. Ajay Mishra’s son, Ashish Mishra has been arrested in connection with the killing of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri. Gandhi was detained on October 4 while on way to Lakhimpur Kheri to meet the families of those who had been crushed by a vehicle allegedly being driven by Ashish Mishra. Meanwhile, members of the All India Students’ Association (AISA) were detained on October 10 as they staged a protest near Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s residence. Watch the video to know more.
