Ram Singh Kaida, an independent MLA from Bhimtal, Uttarakhand, has joined the BJP. BJP state president Madan Kaushik had reached Delhi only in the morning regarding Ram Singh Kaida. However, Ram Singh Kaida remained in the Congress earlier. Revolted against the Congress and contested the independent elections and also won.

उत्तराखंड के भीमताल से निर्दलीय विधायक राम सिंह कैड़ा ने भाजपा का दामन थाम लिया है. राम सिंह कैड़ा को लेकर भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष मदन कौशिक सुबह ही दिल्ली पहुचे थे. हालांकि, राम सिंह कैड़ा पहले कांग्रेस में रहे. कांग्रेस से बगावत कर निर्दलीय चुनाव लड़े और जीत भी हासिल की. यह पहले से ही माना जा रहा था कि कैड़ा भाजपा में शामिल होंगे.
