Melbourne, Australia Hit By 6.0 Magnitude Earthquake

Early on September 22, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake hit southeastern Australia near Melbourne. The earthquake caused damage to buildings and knocked down walls. Panicked residents ran into the streets of Melbourne. The earthquake hit east of the country's second-largest city just after 9:00 am local time (2300 GMT). The US Geological Survey said it struck at a depth of 10 kilometres (six miles). An aftershock was rated 4.0, reported Reuters. Videos shared on social media showed roads filled with debris. Bricks and rubble lay on the ground due to the earthquake. Prime Minister Scott Morrison said there were no immediate reports of injuries. Watch the video to know more.
