The festival of Radha Ashtami will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 14, the Ashtami of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month in Jyeshtha Nakshatra and Ayushman Yoga. Astrologer Sunil Chopra told that the Ashtami date of Bhado Shukla Paksha is also called Radha Ashtami. Ashtami Tithi will start on 13th September at 03:10 PM, and will end on 14th September at 01:09 PM.Worship of Radha Ashtami is considered to remove all sorrows. At the same time, it is believed that fasting on Radha Ashtami removes all kinds of sins. Suhagin women keep a fast on this day and do special worship of Radha ji. Worshiping on this day brings eternal good fortune. Whenever there is a mention of Radha Rani, then there is a mention of sakhis also. Although Radharani had innumerable sakhis, but her 8 sakhis were such that they were close to Radharani as well as Lord Krishna. These friends of Radha used to take full care of her. These are called Ashtasakhi. Of which the main friend was Lalita, by whose name it is also called Lalita Ashtami.

राधा अष्टमी का पर्व 14 सितंबर, मंगलवार को भाद्रपद मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की अष्टमी की तिथि ज्येष्ठा नक्षत्र और आयुष्मान योग में मनाया जाएगा।ज्योतिषाचार्य सुनील चोपड़ा ने बताया कि भादो शुक्ल पक्ष की अष्टमी की तिथि को राधा अष्टमी भी कहा जाता है। अष्टमी तिथि का प्रारंभ 13 सितंबर दोपहर 03:10 बजे से होगा, और 14 सितंबर दोपहर 01:09 बजे समाप्त होगी। राधा अष्टमी की पूजा सभी दुखों को दूर करने वाली मानी जाती है। वहीं मान्यता है कि राधा अष्टमी का व्रत सभी प्रकार के पापों को दूर करता है। सुहागिन स्त्रियां इस दिन व्रत रखकर राधा जी की विशेष पूजा करती हैं। इस दिन पूजा करने से अखंड सौभाग्य की प्राप्ति होती है। जब-जब राधा रानी का जिक्र आता है, तब-तब सखियों का भी जिक्र होता है। वैसे तो राधारानी की अनगिनत सखियां थीं, लेकिन उनकी 8 सखियां ऐसी थीं जो राधारानी के साथ-साथ भगवान श्री कृष्ण के भी करीब थीं। राधा की ये सखियां उनका पूरा ध्यान रखती थीं। इन्हें अष्टसखी कहा जाता है। जिनमे से मुख्य सखी ललीता थी, जिसके नाम से इसे ललिता अष्टमी भी कहा जाता है।
