Investigation finds link between area of residence and risk of dying from COVID

There were almost four times as many coronavirus deaths in the nation’s poorest areas than the wealthiest, during the first year of the pandemic. The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare has been investigating how COVID has hit the nation, and found where people live, has a direct link to their risk of dying from the virus.
