This underwater footage, filmed by Sylvain, shows a mother humpback whale playing and swimming with her calf in the presence of the filmer.
"I shot this footage in Moorea, French Polynesia during the humpback whale season that lasts from July to November," the underwater filmmaker told us. "The whales were resting really close to the reef. After spotting them, I hopped into the water and swam very slowly to approach them."
The filmer revealed that he got to spend one full hour with the friendly mammals before they swam away.
