Assam-Mizoram border clash flares up, killed 6 policemen

An inter-state border dispute between Assam and Mizoram erupted into fresh violence on Monday. In this border class, six police officials have been killed. Thereafter, the central forces have been deployed in the area to bring the situation under control and prevent any more untoward incidents. This latest clash was the culmination of tension simmering between locals of Lailapur village in Assam's Cachar district and neighbouring Vairengte village in Mizoram's Kolasib district.
