Mumbai rain woes: 24 killed after wall collapses in Chembur & Vikhroli areas

Twenty-four people were killed on Sunday in two different incidents of wall collapse in Mumbai's Chembur and Vikhroli areas. 17 people died in Chembur and seven people in Vikhroli. The wall collapsed due to a landslide, said the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). A rescue operation is underway. The injured have been taken to the hospital.
The suburban train services on both Central Railway and Western Railway in the financial capital were suspended due to waterlogging in the tracks due to the overnight heavy downpour, railway officials said. Watch the video.
