Geomagnetic Unrest to Hit Earth: All About The Solar Storm That Could Disrupt GPS, Phone Services
  • 3 years ago
NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has issued a warning for a powerful solar storm headed towards Earth for later in the day on July 12. NASA said the geomagnetic unrest could spark high-latitude auroras, and also cause disruption in power-grids, as well as impact communication infrastructure around the world. The geomagnetic storm’s impact could also cause a blackout of high-frequency radio communication for nearly an hour in certain sunlit areas.
