'Russia Launches Mediterranean Military DRILLS Amid UK Rift '

The Russian military conducted drills in the Mediterranean Sea on Friday.

Warplanes capable of carrying hypersonic missiles swept across the water in an apparent show of force.

It's the first time the warplanes have been deployed outside Russia's borders.

The drills reportedly began while a British carrier strike group was also in the area.

It comes after a surge in tensions following an incident with a British destroyer in the Black Sea.

A Russian warship reportedly fired warning shots at a British Royal Navy vessel on Wednesday.

Moscow said they issued the warning to force the HMS Defender out of its ‘territorial waters’ near Crimea.

However, Britain denied the account, and insisted its ship wasn’t fired upon and was sailing in Ukrainian waters.

The risk of hostile encounters becomes greater as relations between Russia and the West worsen.
