India has achieved the milestone of conducting 40 crore COVID-19 tests, with the average of more than 18 lakh tests per day in the month of June, the ICMR said on Saturday. India has tested 40,18,11,892 samples across the country till Friday, it said. The country tested 35 crore COVID-19 samples till June 1, 2021.

देश में कोरोना वायरस की दूसरी लहर की रफ्तार अब थमने लगी है. दैनिक मामले घटकर 50 हजार के करीब आ गए हैं. वहीं, मौत का आंकड़ा भी कम हुआ है. केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय की ओर से रविवार सुबह जारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, देश में पिछले 24 घंटे में 50,040 नए मामले सामने आए हैं, इसी दौरान ICMR ने जानकारी दी कि भारत में अब तक किए गए कोविड-19 टेस्ट की संख्या 40 करोड़ के पार पहुंच गई है.
