AIIMS director Dr. Randeep Guleria told India Today TV that Covaxin's data for children after completion of the Phase 2/3 trials will be available by September and the approval is expected the same month. Delhi AIIMS has already started screening children for these trials. This started on June 7 and involves children between the age of 2 to 17. On the other hand, unhappy with Navjot Singh Sidhu's outbursts in recent media interviews, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh is learnt to have told the party high command that instead of placating Sidhu, action should be taken against him for putting his own government and leadership in the dock. He has also opposed the elevation of Sidhu as Deputy CM.
