How Wood-Based Fibres Are Making Fashion Sustainable | DW and The Wire

Dan Liris is an Indonesian entrepreneur who has recently started working with Tencel – a yarn derived from wood. Not only is she making her products sustainable, but with her unique business, she is also able to provide fair working conditions and health insurance to her labour force– something which is unusual in Indonesia. In the Portuguese city of Porto, a German start-up 'Wiljd' also uses Tencel to make breathable products and supplies them in and out of Europe.
