Kavita Krishnan On Why Marital Rape Should Be Criminalised

At a hearing in the Delhi High Court on whether marital rape should be criminalised, the central government submitted that it should not be made a criminal offence as it could become a phenomenon which may destabilise the institution of marriage and an easy tool for harassing the husbands.
