Chattisgarh Police has issued a notice to Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) national spokesperson Sambit Patra in the ‘toolkit’ case. Sambit Patra has been asked to appear at the Civil Lines Police Station in Raipur on Sunday for questioning, following a complaint filed by NSUI, the student wing of the Congress.

In its complaint, NSUI via its Chattisgarh unit, on Wednesday lodged a complaint against former Chattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and BJP leader Sambit Patra over the ‘toolkit’ issue wherein the student body alleged that Patra forged the letterhead of Congress Party’s Research Cell and printed false and fabricated content.

Sambit Patra had posted a tweet tagging a document created allegedly by the Congress and claimed it was a ‘toolkit’ designed to defame PM Narendra Modi regime during the second wave of the pandemic.
