Two Malaysiakini staff spent about three hours having their statements recorded by the police over the allegations made by former IGP Abdul Hamid Bador in his last press conference as the top cop in Bukit Aman on April 30.

Malaysiakini Bahasa Malaysia editor Jimadie Shah Othman was questioned for about three, while KiniTV broadcast journalist Vivian Yap spoke to the police for about two hours.

The statement was recorded by ASP Zaharin Rahman and Zulsyarizwan Zulkefli from the Special Operations Division of Bukit Aman’s Criminal Investigation Department at the Putra Perdana Police Station, in Puchong.

Jimadie and Yap were among those questioned about the content of Hamid's press conference, the attendance at the event and details of the news reports and videos published by Malaysiakini and KiniTV.
