Cops ready to reopen probe on ex-telco CEO over abuse allegations
  • 5 years ago
Police are ready to re-investigate the former telco CEO who is said to have sexually abused his daughters.

Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador said in the previous investigations against the man, the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) classified the case as No Further Action (NFA) as there was no solid evidence.

"Usually when the decision comes out as NFA, it is because there was no solid evidence. (In the CEO's case) there was evidence, but not enough to implicate him if he's charged in court.

"However, police are ready to find or receive fresh evidence. If there are new convincing evidence, of course, the AGC will consider a charge," he said in a media conference at Bukit Aman today.
