Kerala imposes nine-day Covid-19 lockdown

The country is facing an unprecedented rise in Covid-19 cases and due to it, the Kerala government imposed a nine-day lockdown to contain disease transmission in the second wave of Covid-19. On May 8, the streets wore deserted looked and remained silent in Thiruvananthapuram. Only essential services will be allowed during this period. The state-wide lockdown will be enforced from May 8 to 16, 2021.
