Ship frrom India under lockdown

The crew of a ship from India have been quarantined in Durban, after a COVID-19 outbreak onboard. They were tested as a precautionary measure on arrival, and 14 were positive. It's unclear whether they have the highly contagious strain that's spreading rapidly across India. That country currently has millions of active cases, with infections rising sharply every day. A port health team will be checking on the crew. To make matters worse, the vessel's chief engineer died from a heart attack, after docking in Durban on Sunday. The Kwazulu-Natal Research and Innovation Sequencing Platform, or Krisp, says it's not too worried about the new variant found in India. Courtesy #DStv403
