It’s a big week for the ANC. The party is meeting to discuss the lists of members from the provinces who have been charged with serious crimes and corruption and should step aside. The 30 day deadline for the accused to do so has come and gone, so we should see some movement on the ANC’s plan to make sure the much discusses and much contested step aside rule is implemented. This follows last week where ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa spent two days at the commission of enquiry into state capture saying the party had failed to halt corruption and taken far too long to respond to clear red flags.
