Delhi’s Covid crisis: Hospitals send SOS alert over shortage of beds, medical oxygen
  • 3 years ago
Hospitals in Delhi have been sending SOS alert as healthcare system in the national capital comes under increased pressure due to the spike in Covid-19 cases. Hospitals are struggling to treat Covid-19 patients owing to the lack of medical oxygen and oxygen-related equipment, including cylinders. At least 20 patients died at the Jaipur Golden Hospital in New Delhi and another two at the Sardar Patel Hospital reportedly due to a lack of medical oxygen.

Overwhelmed with the rising number of Covid-19 patients, Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital has put up a "zero beds available" notice outside the facility.
