PM Modi to chair meet on Covid-19 crisis tomorrow; Centre expedites oxygen supply to states; more

In a tweet on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he will not be going to poll-bound West Bengal on Friday due to high-level meetings to review the prevailing Covid-19 situation. According to the PMO, the Prime Minister will chair an internal meeting on Covid-19 management at 9 am on Friday. He will then virtually interact with chief ministers of states reeling under a heavy caseload at 10 am. At 12.30 pm, the Prime Minister will hold a meeting with leading manufacturers of liquid oxygen via video-conferencing. In the other story, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has lifted restrictions on the movement of medical oxygen between the states. "Authorities shall be instructed to allow free inter-state movement of oxygen carrying vehicles," an MHA order said. Supply of oxygen for industrial purposes, except those exempted by the Government, is prohibited with effect from April 22 until further orders. Watch this full show for more!
