Luke Kornet has been riding the bench lately but got the chance for some playing time in the Celtics' recent game vs the Los Angeles Lakers. Robert Williams was ruled out just a couple hours before the game, so Kornet was the Celtics' bonafide backup center.
Kornet finished the game with four blocks, doing his best Dikembe Mutombo impression. He was a great defender for the Celtics off the bench and provided some support in other areas as well. He snagged three rebounds, made a three-pointer, and even dished out three dimes.
The Garden Report debates whether or not Kornet has been playing well, and if Kornet will be with the team next year. Bobby Manning tries his best to defend Kornet's play, but the rest of the crew completely disagrees.
John Zannis goes as far as saying that he thinks Kornet is more likely to be playing in Spain than with the Celtics next year. Kornet has provided some solid spot minutes for the C's, but he is very clearly behind Williams and Tristan Thompson on the depth chart.
