Delhi Imposes Night Curfew Till April 30: Who Is Exempt, Who Requires E-Passes; All You Need To Know

Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has ordered a night curfew in Delhi till the end of this month (April 30). This forms a part of measures to control the spread of rapidly rising Covid-19 cases in the national capital. Starting Tuesday (April 6) night, the curfew will be in place between 10 pm & 5 am. This means that no one will be able to travel for reasons not categorised as essential or for an emergency. Restrictions will be implemented by officials from DDMA, district administration, police & civil defence volunteers. Those flouting orders will be prosecuted under sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act, 2005 & Section 188 of IPC. Delivery personnel carrying food, medicines & medical equipment will be allowed on production of an e-pass. Public transport Delhi Metro, buses, autos & taxis will be allowed to ferry only those passengers between 10 pm & 5 am who fall under the list of exemptions. Watch the video to know more.
