Coronavirus: India's caseload touches six-month high with nearly 90,000 new infections

India’s cumulative coronavirus caseload mounted to 1,23,92,260 on Saturday after 89,129 more people were tested positive for Covid-19, according to the Union Health Ministry. The latest figures show that this is the highest daily spike in cases of infection in more than six months. There are currently 6,58,909 active cases of infection in India.
