In Bari tehsil of Raisen district, this year there has been a bumper production of tomatoes. But farmers are not getting the right price for tomatoes. At present, farmers are getting 40 rupees for a crate of 22 kg. This time, the cost, seeds, medicines and other expenses could not be removed. Farmers are forced to throw tomatoes if tomato prices are not available.

रायसेन जिले की बाड़ी तहसील में इस साल टमाटर की बंपर पैदावार हुई है. लेकिन किसानों को टमाटर का सही दाम नहीं मिल रहा है. फिलहाल किसानों को 22 किलोग्राम के एक क्रेट के अब 40 रुपये मिल रहे हैं. जिससे इस बार लागत, बीज, दवाइयां और अन्य खर्च तक नहीं निकल पाया. टमाटर के दाम नहीं मिलने पर किसान टमाटर फेंकने के लिए मजबूर हैं.
