A Section Of Farmers In Uasin Gishu County Are Up In Arms Over Reports That The Government Has Lifted The Ban On Maize Imports From Uganda. The Farmers Say Allowing Imports Of The Grain Will Cripple Their Businesses In The Sector Given The Huge Amounts In Investment They Have Injected Into Their Farms. They Instead Want The Government To Help Them Reduce Expenses By Giving Them Subsidies In Among Other Things Fertilizer.
