Spinners were expected to play a big role yet again in Ahmedabad and they did just that as India dominated the proceedings on day 1 of the fourth and final Test against England on Thursday. Axar Patel once again proved to be the wrecker-in-chief as he bagged 4 wickets while his spin partner Ashwin grabbed 3 to help India bowl England out for 205 in their first innings after the visitors won the toss and opted to bat first on a good pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

इंग्लैंड की हालत खराब है. इंग्लैंड के बल्लेबाजों ने सरेंडर कर दिया है. भारतीय गेंदबाजों के आगे किसी की एक न चली. और इंग्लैंड की टीम 205 रनों पर ऑलआउट हो गयी. एक बार फिर अक्षर पटेल और अश्विन ने मिलकर इंग्लिश बल्लेबाजों की हालत खराब कर दी. दोनों गेंदबाजों ने मिलकर सात विकेट चटकाए. और भारत की पकड़ मुकाबले में मजबूत कर दी. पहले दिन का खेल खत्म हो गया है. और इंग्लैंड के ऑलआउट होने के बाद भारत ने 24 रन बना लिए हैं. शुभमन गिल के रूप में एक विकेट भी गिर चुका है. जेम्स एंडरसन ने पहले ओवर में ही शुभमन गिल को पवेलियन भेज दिया. शुभमन गिल खाता नहीं खोल पाए. एंडरसन ने अपनी पांच ओवर की गेंदबाजी में पांच मेडन फेंके और एक विकेट भी चटकाए.
