India’s Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane on Tuesday hit back at a question regarding his performance at home in the longest format, saying he is a team man who scores runs when when needed. He also spoke about the criticism regarding the pitches for the India vs England series in the virtual media conference ahead of the fourth and final Test. When asked about what how he is trying to get out of the slump he is facing against spin in Indian conditions, Rahane shot back saying check the facts to understand his contribution to the team.

अजिंक्य रहाणे पर लगातार सवाल उठ रहे हैं. उनकी बल्लेबाजी हाल में काफी असरदार साबित नहीं हुई है. फॉर्म में गिरावट और शतकों की कमी. जिसकी वजह से फैन्स के निशाने पर अब अजिंक्य रहाणे आ चुके हैं. इसलिए प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में भी अजिंक्य रहाणे के फॉर्म पर उनसे ही सवाल पूछ दिया गया. जिसके बाद अजिंक्य रहाणे ने पलटकर जवाब भी दिया है. पत्रकार ने जैसे ही रहाणे की बैटिंग को लेकर सवाल किया तो उन्होंने कहा- "हां, मैं इस सवाल के की उम्मीद कर रहा था और आप लोगों ने पूछ भी लिया. आप लोगों को अपने फैक्ट पर ध्यान देने की जरूरत है. आप बैटिंग में मेरे योगदान के बारे में जानते हैं. जब भी टीम को रनों की जरूरत होती है मैं रन बनाता हूं. इसलिए आपको अपने आंकड़ों पर फोकस करने की जरूरत है और फिर सही जवाब के साथ आने की जरूरत है."
