Police detained at least 30 demonstrators, in Thessaloniki, following clashes during a protest over a recently approved campus security law on Monday.
Scuffles erupted between police officers and protesters who were seen screaming while being detained. The law allows police to patrol university campuses.
Opposition parties and student unions in the country decry the new law's approval saying this is against the democratic practices in the campuses.
