आईपीएल नीलामी खत्म हो चुकी है. इस नीलामी में कई बड़े सितारों को जमकर पैसे मिले. ऊँची बोलियाँ लगी. जो उनके लिए आम बात थी. पर कुछ क्रिकेटर ऐसे भी थे. जिनके लिए नीलामी में बिकना सबसे बड़ी बात थी. भारत के ही कई अनकैप्ड प्लेयर इस नीलामी का अहम हिस्सा थे. जिनका सपना था कि कम से कम एक बार आईपीएल खेलूं. इससे दो बातें होती है. पहली ये कि आईपीएल जैसा बड़ा मंच मिल जाता है. दूसरी बात ये कि पैसे मिलते हैं. जिससे आर्थिक स्थिति ठीक हो जाती है. कई खिलाड़ी ऐसे हैं. जो इस समय आर्थिक तंगी से जूझ रहे हैं. और गरीबी झेलकर इस बड़े मंच पर प्रदर्शन के लिए शामिल हुए हैं. खरीदे गए हैं. एक नाम है चेतन साकरिया का. चेतन की कहानी प्रेरणादायक है. चेतन साकरिया को राजस्थान रॉयल्स ने 1.2 करोड़ रुपए में खरीदा है.

The IPL 2021 Auction witnessed another rags to riches story as uncapped left-arm fast bowler Chetan Sakariya was bought for Rs 1.2 crore by Rajasthan Royals. Despite a hugely successful auction, Chetan Sakariya feels a huge void as he lost his younger brother who died by suicide last month. His family members didn't inform him about his brother's death for many days, making one excuse or the other, as he was playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Apart from Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) also showed keen interest in acquiring the services of the 22-year-old Saurashtra fast bowler but RR managed to grab him after an intense bidding battle.
