Easy Cooking: Tangyuan (Sticky Rice Balls) Made By Hanley and Toddler
  • 3 years ago
Our video producer Hanley is pairing up with baby Isaac to cook a Chinese New Year dessert—tangyuan. Tangyuans are a sweet glutinous rice ball that is usually filled with sesame paste. In Chinese culture, the name “yuan,” meaning round, represents unity, so families traditionally eat the sticky, sweet dessert during the festive holidays.

This is the second episode of our two-part Chinese New Year series. Check out the last episode where they made dumplings, a classic savoury dish eaten during the holiday.
