Farmers announce 3-hour nationwide ‘Chakka Jam’ on Feb 6

Hundreds of farmers from western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand reached a key protest site on the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh highway in Ghazipur on Sunday. Security has been beefed up in the area, while traffic congestion continues near Akshardham as the border remains closed. The protesting farmers have announced a nationwide ‘chakka jam’ for three hours on February 6 in protest against the internet ban in areas near their agitation sites, harassment allegedly meted out to them by authorities and other issues.
