East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir appealed to the farmers to maintain peace and honour agreements made with the police and the government as violent clashes erupted at the farmers' tractor rally in the national capital on Tuesday. As the agitating farmers' tractor rally entered the national capital amid India's 72nd Republic Day celebrations, clashes broke out between protestors and police personnel at Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar and then in other locations. Taking to Twitter, Gautam Gambhir noted that violence and vandalism would lead to no result and urged the public to stay calm.


गणतंत्र दिवस के मौके पर दिल्ली में एक ऐसी निंदनीय घटना देखने को मिल रही है. जिसकी उम्मीद किसी ने नहीं की थी. राष्ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्ली से लगे सिंघु, टिकरी और गाजीपुर बॉर्डर पर प्रदर्शन कर रहे किसानों के कुछ समूह मंगलवार को पुलिस के अवरोधकों को तोड़कर दिल्ली में दाखिल हो गए. किसान यहां कई दिनों से केंद्र के तीन नए कृषि कानूनों के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं. अधिकारियों के अनुसार सुरक्षा कर्मियों ने किसानों को समझाने की कोशिश भी की और कहा कि राजपथ पर गणतंत्र दिवस परेड के खत्म होने के बाद उन्हें दिल्ली में ट्रैक्टर परेड करने की अनुमति दी गई है. पर दिल्ली के अलग-अलग जगहों से हिंसा की खबरें निकलकर सामने आ रही है. कई तस्वीरें भी देखने को मिल रही है. जहाँ, पुलिस और किसानों के बीच झड़प देखने को मिली.
