Muar MP Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman said that the RM35 million being spent to build build three community halls in the Pagoh constituency could have been put to better use.
He pointed out preacher Ebit Liew had received 40,000 messages within 24 hours after offering 100 free tablets to students who are in “real need” of the devices, to study online during the pandemic.
Syed Saddiq said the government had the resources and should be the ones to help the students instead.
