S Thaman bags Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Music Director South 2020


S Thaman has bagged the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Music Director South 2020.
His work in Allu Arjun’s 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' was widely appreciated, especially the track Butta Bomma.
The music composer took to Instagram to express his joy and gratitude.
He wrote:

Ghantasala Sai Srinivas also known as S. Thaman, predominantly works in Telugu and Tamil cinema. He entered the film industry as a supporting musician with the Telugu film Bhairava Dweepam in the year 1994, when he was just 11 years old.
Later he turned into a film music composer and became popular for his work as a music director. His debut films as music director were "Sindhanai Sei" in Tamil, and "Malli Malli" in Telugu.
