On October 25, the legendary actor, Rajinikanth received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award from Vice President Venkaiah Naidu at New Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan. The south star worked as a bus conductor before joining the film industry. The superstar dedicated the award to his old bus driver friend, who suggested that he join the entertainment industry. Rajinikanth attended the event with his son-in-law Dhanush. It was a double special day for the family as Dhanush also won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Asuran. Rajinikanth's wife Latha and their daughter Aishwaryaa, were also present. Dhanush penned a special note for his father-in-law after he received the prestigious award. Aishwaryaa also took to social media to express her happiness. She wrote, “This is history.” Dhanush shared the national award with Manoj Bajpayee, who won it for Bhonsle.
