Boeing's 737 Max, which had been grounded for 20 months after a series of crashes, has resumed commercial flights in the U.S.
An American Airlines Max carrying 100 passengers, took off from Miami International Airport in Florida on Tuesday and successfully landed in New York.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration had grounded the planes, after two crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia in October 2018 and March last year killed 346 people in total.
A faulty automated flight-control system was found to be the cause of the crashes.
The FAA removed the flight ban on the 737 Max last month, after Boeing made upgrades to its systems.
