ایک مدت کی ریاضت سے کمائے ہوئے لوگ
کیسے بچھڑے ہیں مرے دل میں سمائے ہوئے لوگ
تلخ گوئی سے ہماری تُو پریشان نہ ہو
ہم ہیں دنیا کے مصائب کے ستائے ہوئے لوگ
اس زمانے میں مرے یار کہاں ملتے ہیں .
اپنے دامن میں محبت کو بسائے ہوئے لوگ
تجھ کو اے شخص کبھی زیست کی تنہائی میں
یاد آئیں گے ہم عجلت میں گنوائے لوگ .
اُن کے رستے میں بچھا دیتے ہیں پلکیں اپنی
جب بھی ملتے ہیں ترے شہر سے آئے ہوئے لوگ
یہ غنیمت ہیں جو آزاد نظر آتے ہیں.
خواب پلکوں کے دریچوں میں سجائے ہوئے لوگ
